Удивительным образом сложилась судьба человека, который находился в одной тусовке с Ником Кейвом, Ховардом Девото и Питом Шелли, но при том ушедшем совершенно в другую область и даже наиболее значимые периоды его биографии и творческого пути уже не связаны с той эпохой. А что до дискографии - слабинок почти нигде не давал, душераздирающие нуарные композиции и коктейли из кислотного джаза и альтернативного рока чудесны, новый его альбом тоже высоко ценю, его вполне можно поставить в один ряд и считать логичным продолжением в I Will Set You Free, а ведь это был просто преступно недооцененный релиз.

I saw him touring Back to the Cat in Nottingham and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. The guy has presence! And his band were incredible, with them all getting their moment to shine. Adamson also went nuts with a stylophone, so that's a massive thumbs up right there.

Gotta agree with dubstooge (below) Oedipus Schmoedipus is a great album – it shows an absolute mastery over styles. Love it all, even on the 'dial n' drink' message tape Barry builds the tension and just rides with it. He rocks and I wanna hear more!
